The races just keep getting bigger and bigger for the Fort Collins High School girls cross country team.

Less than a month after winning a Class 5A state championship, the Lambkins will take their road show west to Tempe, Ariz., to compete Saturday in the Southwest Regional of the Nike Cross Nationals.

Approximately 20 boys and 20 girls teams from the five-state Southwest region of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah will compete for the right to advance to next month's Nike Cross Nationals championship in Portland.

The top two teams from each of the eight regions, along with four at-large teams advance on to Portland.
